Fruitful signing ceremony for construction project of Vientiane Capital Bus Terminal at Lao ITECC between Vientiane Capital State Bus Enterprise and Lao World Public Company was held on 19 December 2019 at the meeting hall of Lao ITECC.
Mr. Keovanphone Vonethivongsy, Chief Executive Officer of Vientiane Capital State Bus Enterprise, and Mr. Sibountham Sibounmy, Chief Executive Officer of Lao World Public Company have signed the contract, attended by Mr. Phoukhong Bannavong, Vice Mayor of Vientiane Capital and distinguished guests for witness.
Due to an increase in population and vehicles in Laos, especially in Vientiane Capital, it causes an increase of traffic on roads
In the occasion that Kyoto Prefecture, Japan supported 25 buses to Vientiane Capital State Bus Enterprise. At the same time, Lao World Public Company had a plan to have buses come into Lao ITECC area. Thus, Lao World Public Company supported a budget to ship those buses to Laos and then supported a budget to change the bus door from the left side to the right side.
After that Lao World Public Company provided a temporary bus station at Lao ITECC to make a soft run for some routes such as Lao ITECC-Morning Market-Wattay International Airport, Lao ITECCHaikham Market, Lao ITECC-Dongdok and some other routes.
When soft run of some routes showed effective result and ready to go for a permanent bus terminal, Lao World Public Company made a request to construct Vientiane Capital Bus Terminal at Lao ITECC to reduce traffic on roads, accommodate an increase of bus routes in the future and bring people into Lao ITECC.
After concerned authorities agreed and approved, Vientiane Capital State Bus Enterprise and Lao World Public Company have worked closely together to prepare and implement a work plan for construction of Vientiane Capital Bus Terminal at Lao ITECC. The construction is expected to complete in 18 months.
In order to officially carry out the construction project of Vientiane Capital Bus Terminal at Lao ITECC, the signing ceremony of the project between Vientiane Capital State Bus Enterprise and Lao World Public Company was held at Lao ITECC.
